DIY Choker and Fall OOTD

No trend has impacted this year’s fall fashion more than the choker.  There are thousands of options available on the market.  But why pay for something you can make yourself?

The Choker

Simply grab a pair of old tights and a pair of scissors.  I used ballet tights because the ballet pink color is unique, but you can use any color you have.  All you have to do is cut a horizontal strip off of one of the legs.  I cut about a strip about one-inch wide.  The edges will curl up so it won’t look messy.  And there you have it!  A free, comfortable, pretty choker.

The Outfit

Now that you’ve made a choker, you need an outfit to go with it.  There are countless outfits in your own wardrobe, but I decided to show you one of mine to show how versatile this choker is.  I went for a comfy, casual look.  I’m wearing a white Capezio leotard (because why buy bodysuits when you have leotards?), a gray knit sweater, some light wash denim from Garage, a quilted lavender Kate Spade crossbody, white socks, and my favorite lace-up boots from Michael Kors.  Oh, and of course, the choker.

I would love to see the outfits that you create around this unique choker made from tights.  DM your creations to @thepurplepandablog for a chance to be featured!
