Glowing Natural Makeup Tutorial for Summer

Hi everyone!  I have never done a tutorial on my blog because I thought it would be better suited to videos.  However, I have gotten requests for a natural makeup look so I thought I would run you through this one.  This look is great for the summer, especially beach days.  I also used a lot of drugstore products to keep it affordable and easy.  Let’s get into this glowing natural makeup tutorial!

The Tutorial

Since this is summer time, you want to get in some SPF and have a smooth base for your makeup to sit on.  All over the face, I used my Coola Daydream Mineral primer with SPF 30.  In the T-zone, to smooth out pores and keep things in place, I used my Smashbox Photo Finish Primer.

For my foundation, I decided to go with Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless to keep my skin from getting too oily.  However, I wanted to still glow from within, so I mixed in some Cover Fx Custom Enhancer Drops in the shade sunlight.  A further post on those drops will be coming soon.  To conceal and brighten the face, I used Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer and set it with my RCMA No Color Powder.

While my face makeup was setting, I did my brows with the L’oreal Brow Stylist Kabuki Blender.  I have been loving this recently because it is super quick and easy.  Then, I curled my lashes and applied one of my favorite mascaras, Maybelline Lash Sensational.  I went with the waterproof mascara because I wanted it to stay in place all day, even if I went swimming.

Back to the face, I only used cream products to keep that glowy look.  For bronzer, I used Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer in the shade cafe and blended that in with a beauty blender.  Next, I used a stipple brush to blend some of BareMinerals Blush Balm in the shade pomegranate passion onto my cheeks.  Lastly, I used my finger to pat in Colourpop’s Super Shock Highlighter in the shade wisp at the tops of my cheekbones, cupids bow, bridge of nose, and brow bone.

Finally, I dabbed a little bit of the L’oreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss in the shade Aphrodite Kiss onto the lips.  I set my whole face with a few sprays of Supergoop’s Setting Mist with SPF 50 to keep my makeup fresh and my skin protected all day long.  And here’s the finished look!
