Summer is ending, but that won’t stop me from buying bathing suits. My most recent purchase is from Mary Grace Swim, a small up-and-coming company. I bought it on their online store, marygraceswim.com, one of the few places to pick up their swimsuits. The top that stood out to me was the Dylan style in a mint green hue. I was a little setoff by the $110 price tag. However, after scouring the Internet, I found a coupon code (MGS50) for 50% off and I scooped up the trendy bikini top. Not willing to spend the same amount on the bottoms, I decided to just pair it with some white bottoms.
I’ve been wanting to try out this particular style of top for a while, as it has become increasingly popular. As you can tell from the picture, the top is a crisp minty color. There is a big ruffle along the top and this style contains no padding. I expected it to be more special for the price. It looks pretty, but it isn’t my favorite. And although it is my fault for choosing this style, I wasn’t thrilled that I couldn’t lift my arms.
Onto the wear test. I wore this in the ocean to really test out how well it would wear. I am pleased to say that it stays on pretty well. If you are just leisurely swimming, it stays in place. However, do not even think about jumping, especially in the water. It will immediately fall down. I’ve learned from experience.
So if you think this is going to be the new Triangl, I doubt it because it isn’t unique enough. A lot of stores have come out with this same type of style for a lower price. Also, while there was nothing wrong with the quality, I thought it would be a little more high quality. If you would like to recommend a specific swimwear brand, leave it in the comments below!
