Without a doubt, PacSun is one of my favorite clothing stores. I have fallen in love with their soft, comfortable materials and trendy silhouettes. Of course, not all the clothes in PacSun are created equal. The Kendall and Kylie brand, Me to We, and of course Brandy Melville are my go tos. They have staple and statement pieces that look effortless and don’t cost you your whole wallet. But then there is the LA Hearts line that can be hit and miss. With lower prices often come lower quality fabrics, making some of their clothes uncomfortable to wear and cheap-looking. And then, there are the brands that just don’t appeal to my aesthetic. But we will save that conversation for another time. It’s Haul Time!
John Galt James Ribbed Cropped Tank Top ($16, Size OS)
As a subdivision of the Brandy Melville brand, you can expect the same soft fabrics, simple styles, and one size fits all sizing. (While searching through the Brandy Melville site for links to other pieces, I found a shirt that looks just like this John Galt one, but it is more expensive. I thought this minimalistic tank top with white trim was such an “easy” piece. I often choose “easy” pieces because they are easy to wear (because of comfortability) and easy to pair (because of simplicity). That’s a nice motto: Easy to wear, easy to pair.
Brandy Melville Charlene Top in Burgundy ($14-$26 (Mine was $24), Size OS)
-Now Only Available in Blue, Black, and White-
I can’t find this on the Brandy Melville site in the Burgundy color, but they still sell it in blue, black, and white. And if you really want burgundy, take a look in your local PacSun or Brandy Melville store. This shirt looks luxurious in a deep rich hue and as usual for Brandy, it is super soft.
Brandy Melville Alyssa Halter in Pink ($22, Size OS)
-Also Available in Black, White, and Yellow-
Now, since Brandy Melville is only sold in PacSun stores, not online, I went to find a link to the Brandy Melville store. The Brandy Melville store lists it for $22. I paid $25 for this shirt. So I am hoping I found the right one. Anyway, this is not my color but since nudes are currently trending, I decided to give it a shot. I am not sure how I feel about the color, but I love the cut of the garment.
Brandy Melville Renata Knit Tank in Cream ($24, Size OS)
-Also Available in Black-
This might be my favorite shirt that I picked up and I never thought that I would like it. And now a quick break for story time ~So, I was trying on the Alyssa Halter in Pink (above) and, like I said, I loved the style, but wasn’t sure about the color. So I sent my mom to see if she could find it in a different color. She brought back the closest thing she could find to it which was the Renata Knit Tank. Now this looks far from the Alyssa Halter and is also not one of my common colors. But whatever. I tried it on and yesssss girl.~ Back from story time. Just imagine this over a bikini in the summer. I can’t wait.
LA Hearts Cold Shoulder Knit T-Shirt in Light Gray ($24.95, Size XS)
-Also Available in Burgundy and Pink-
Yes I bashed LA Hearts for not being as amazing as Brandy Meville. Yes, I still buy their stuff every once in a while. And this is that once in a while. I love anything with a cold shoulder and this top also seems super sporty which I love. Another day, another “easy” piece. What can I say?
Me to We Embroidered Jogger Shorts ($34.95, Size XS)
I love to have some looser shorts to throw on when I don’t feel like tight jeans. I thought these were really cute with the embroidered edges and faux drawstring bow. I also love how Me to We stands for great causes. In fact, every Me to We product makes an impact in a Free the Children community.
Bullhead Denim Co. Ann Wash Mid Rise Super Stretch Denim Shorts ($39.95, Size 24)
I have never tried any Bullhead products, but have always wanted to, so I picked up three. This first one stood out to me because of the bright blue denim. It is simple, but still makes a statement.
Bullhead Denim Co. Raspberry Mid Rise Super Stretch Denim Shorts ($39.95, Size 24)
I went with a bold color, raspberry, because I think it can be fun to add pops of color. It is probably not the most useful thing that I bought, but with wine colors being one of my favorites, wine not? (see what I did there?)
Bullhead Denim Co. Crochet Blue Low Rise Denim Shorts ($39.95, Size 24)
I’m not normally a low rise kind of person. I think higher rises make your legs look longer and who doesn’t want that? But I thought the crochet trim was too cute to pass up. On second thought, I know the crochet trim was too cute to pass up.
Brandy Melville Jada Dress in Floral Print ($36, Size OS)
-Now only available in black and burgundy-
This is a loose, flowy floral dress with an open back from Brandy Melville. Like I said before, Brandy Melville is bae. However, this piece is not normally something I would gravitate to nor do I have anything like it in my closet. I guess I was feeling like trying something new and it turns out that I really like it! Sadly, it is now only available in black and burgundy.
With assorted coupons and discounts, these clothes came out to about $295. Luckily I had a gift card (thanks Grandma and Grandpa) that covered a good chunk of the cost. When I heard that PacSun was filing for bankruptcy (!!!), I knew that I wanted to spend my gift card just in case. And what better way to spend it than on some new clothes for summer? Let me know which of the pieces I mentioned is your favorite in the comments below!
