Because I don’t already have enough beauty products, I decided to pick up some things from Ulta. I got these on Saturday and had a little time to play with them before putting up this review. On to the mini reviews!
The first thing that I got was the Maybelline Lash Sensational. I was looking for a waterproof mascara for the summer because I currently do not own any waterproof mascaras. I got this one because I heard that this was a great dupe for the Benefit Roller Lash which I love. It is a wet formula, but does a great job lengthening your lashes.
Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude ($4.49)
I wanted a nude eyeliner so I could open up my eyes without a stark white color. I use white when I’m wearing heavier makeup, but I think nude will be perfect for lighter, more natural days. This pencil is very creamy and glides on effortlessly. I love how it is waterproof so it will stay in my waterline.
I have heard amazing things about this facial spray. It is great for a refreshing spritz in the hot summer months. While this isn’t my favorite setting spray to lock in makeup, I love how you can feel the hydration sinking into your skin.
I have been loving the Macadamia Ultra Nourishing Hair Mask, but I am running out of that one. Since it is pretty expensive, I wanted to find a cheaper option and decided to try this one out. This one is not as thick as the macadamia mask. It is more like the texture of the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist.
Seaweed Cleansing Lotion ($15.00)
Looking for a new toner, I can across this one which has no alcohol. It is non-drying and suitable for sensitive skin. I don’t have very sensitive skin, but I just wanted to make sure that this would be gentle. After a few uses, I am happy to report that it didn’t irritate my skin at all.
Ulta Sunless Mitt ($5.99) and Ulta Bronze Glow Sunless Tan Applicator Mitt For Face ($5.99)
Since they were doing a buy two, get two free deal, I decided to pick up some self tanning mitts. I am getting into more self tanners this summer because I don’t want to damage my skin under the harsh sun rays.
Large Z Palette in Lavender ($20.00)
I just broke the packaging of one of my Tarte blushes (eek) so I decided that I needed a Z Palette. The black one wasn’t available and my favorite color is purple so I went with Lavender. I’m so excited to create my own custom palette!
NYX Cosmetics Dark Circle Concealer in Light ($5.99)
I heard that this was a good corrector type concealer to put under a regular concealer. With my really dark under eye circles I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try it out. It is orange toned and pretty thick and creamy, but I love it. If you aren’t a fan of that type of consistency then this probably isn’t the concealer for you, but this is becoming a new necessity in my makeup collection.
Ardell Natural Lash Black 108 ($3.99)
I have short little stub lashes. And this may be a controversial statement, but I think false lashes are easier than putting on mascara. Instead of piling on a 15 coasts of mascara to get my lashes to look halfway okay, I can pop on false lashes and make them look amazing in about 1 minute. I wanted to try some natural lashes and went with these ones from Ardell. They are the perfect length that accentuates my eyes without looking fake.
I wanted to try out a new cleanser because I am running out of my current one. I found the cheapest one with the best reviews and went with it. So far, I do like this. I feel like it is an effective cleanser without being rough on my skin.
I am so happy with my purchases from Ulta. If you are interested in updates to how I feel about these purchases, I suggest you follow me on Instagram @thepurplepandablog and subscribe to my blog. Because I spent over $60, I got a giant lip set that I am super excited about. Keep an eye out for first impressions and swatches on those shades/formulas. See you guys later!
