At $1.99, it is clear that Wet n Wild makes one of the least expensive lipsticks on the market. Many have raved about their quality, but I had reservations due to the low price tag. So, I got four colors to test out and review.
This lipstick claims to be a semi-matte cream finish that lasts for four hours. This is true, you will have to reapply throughout the day. It also glides on easily with “rich, velvety color that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed.” It isn’t my favorite formula, but it is pretty good. I wish it was just a touch more buttery and moisturizing, but that may cause it to wear off easier. There is currently a wide range of 26 colors. The packaging is plastic and the lipstick bullet is cut almost flat. I don’t love those features, but again, this is a $2 lipstick.
The first color I got is called Bare it All, a light medium warm nude. This shade has pink, peach, and brown tones which makes it the perfect natural nude.
Sandstorm is an medium orangey brown. This shade pairs great with a warm eye look.
Mocha-lichious is, as the name suggests, a warm mocha brown. Brown lipstick is on trend right now and this is a great option to test it out for yourself.
The last shade is Ravin’ Raisin, a plum brown. It is great option if you are interesting in venturing into more purpley shades. It is a more toned down, flattering purple.
Overall, I love the colors and the formula is not bad at all. The price is unbeatable, making it easy to pick up a bunch of colors, even ones that you may not be that comfortable with. From my experience, you can’t really go wrong.
